Amanda Schroeter is a graduate student at Minot State University. For the past 2 years, Amanda has studied campus violence and different approaches to preventing it. To further this research, campus violence has become the topic of her masters thesis. It is through this research that she hopes to raise awareness of the importance of preventing campus violence.
Amanda is the advisor for the Criminal Justice Club at MSU. The C.J. club engages in many activities throughout the year including fund-raisers, educational field trips, and providing security to various on and off-campus social events. Most importantly, the C.J. club donates many hours of volunteer service to local and state organizations including the ND State Highway Patrol and the local domestic violence center.
In addition to her advising duties, Amanda is also a graduate teaching assistant. As a graduate teaching assistant, Amanda assists with the teaching of various undergraduate criminal justice courses. This includes various tasks like preparing for classes, instructing, researching, and grading.
Amanda will graduate from MSU in May of 2009 with a Masters degree in Criminal Justice Administration.
