Anthony D. Laperuta is currently the Crime Prevention Specialist/Chief Investigator for Bronx Community College/CUNY. He has been a campus law enforcement officer for over 16 years. During his career he served as a Patrol Officer, Corporal and Sergeant. He assisted as a first responder during the Sept.11, 2001 World Trade Center terrorist attack. He assisted many CUNY campuses in the New York City area with Internal and Criminal Investigations. He is a certified New York State General Police Topic and Firearms Instructor. He instructed numerous Law Enforcement Officers throughout the New York State/ City Area. He is also an instructor for the International Campus Law Enforcement Association (IACLEA) together with U.S. Homeland Security where he instructed first responders on weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and for Critical Incident Management. 
At Bronx Community College he serves on the workplace violence committee and continuously conducts workshops on domestic violence, gang awareness and work place violence for faculty, students and staff.
