Tony joined the Los Angeles Police Department in 1989. Within the first two years after becoming a Police Officer, Tony received numerous awards and recognition for implementing a variety of highly affective safety and intervention programs on the campuses of four major school districts.

In 1993, Tony was chosen as California’s Young Public Safety Officer by the California Chamber of Commerce. In the following years he was highly recognized by local politicians, the media and a host of educational delegates for his ability to provide some of the best intervention and safety programs on the campuses of many schools.
