Joselle Shea serves as director of children and youth initiatives at the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC).  Ms. Shea oversees various children and youth programs, including the McGruff® Neighborhood Initiative and the Be Safe and Sound in School program.  She manages McGruff Club and Community Works!, NCPC’s violence prevention programs for elementary and secondary school students.  She has develops and conducts training sessions and workshops for law enforcement, educators, parents, community groups, and young people on issues including bullying, substance abuse prevention, Internet safety, school safety, conflict resolution, and teen victimization. She has written several publications and has participated in the development of research studies and public service advertising campaigns.  Ms. Shea has been interviewed by local and national media groups, including Parents magazine and America’s Most Wanted Safety Center.  Ms. Shea has a master’s degree in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University
