About our CEO

Lawrence Lai Kun Hoong is the CEO of Comfori Sdn. Bhd. He holds an Electrical and Electronics Professional Degree and Master's Degree in Engineering Business Management from Warwick University, UK. Before the company was established, he worked as an engineer for Sony Electronics and Cegelec Projects UK (a subsidiary of Alcatel Alsthom).

Over the years of experiences, he was awarded as "Chartered Engineer" status by Engineering Council United Kingdom in recognition of his contributions to the mechanical and electrical industry. He is also a professional trainer in Power Quality and Data Centre and has conducted many technical seminars and presented in many business conferences before.

History of COMFORI

  • In the beginning
    Every great achievement begins with a story. COMFORI’s journey started in the United States, embarking on a mission to deliver first-rate consulting services across America and the United Kingdom. Under the visionary leadership of Ms. Barbara St. Onge, Comfori International USA organized strategic events for corporate and industrial sectors, creating a platform for consultants and speakers to share their expertise with diverse audiences. Thus, COMFORI was born.
  • The Rising May 2002
    COMFORI expanded its reach by establishing an office in Malaysia to cater to the local market. A youthful and experienced management team led this venture with a vision to provide hands-on solutions and share international expertise with a local touch. Backed by consultants from various fields such as engineering, IT, and finance, Comfori Malaysia grew into a reliable hub of practical and innovative training services.
  • The Reign April 2008
    The launch of COMFORI Philippines marked the company's entry into the Western Pacific region of Southeast Asia. Based in Manila, the regional office became a hub for training managers, offering a wide range of services and conferences with a focus on the United States and Pacific markets. Further expansion brought COMFORI to the Middle East and Africa, strengthening its global presence.
  • Today August 2010
    To centralize its growing operations, COMFORI International Sdn. Bhd. was formed and headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This new entity oversees regional offices and spearheads marketing for the Asia Pacific Region. With its robust infrastructure and forward-thinking strategies, COMFORI continues to lay the foundation for even greater milestones in the future.
